The partners in the business identified, through long experience in their individual fields, that people and companies encounter several barriers to making these improvements: most notably a lack of knowledge about energy and energy-saving and suspicion of questionable advice emanating from a largely non-regulated industry.

Edge Efficiency covers the fields of Architecture, Sustainability and Mechanical Services; we consult on improving the performance of existing buildings, as well as on the design and specification of new buildings and mechanical installations. We support our recommendations with hard data and calculations, to give an honest appraisal of what our clients can expect from the improvements and investments they make, thereby cutting out the sales-driven "advice" of installers.
